Here's what President of the Comittee, Silvano Vinceti, had to say about it:

One-of-a-kind :)

If it's been done once and never been done again, if it's totally original in the history of civilization and the history of the world, you'll find it in THE ONLY BOOK.

Here are some facts that I found interesting:
  • What is the only country in the world that attracts ten million tourists annually but has no hotels, motels, restaurants, nightclubs, movie houses, taverns, or drugstores?
Vatican City, or the Holy See, renowned for its great works of art and architecture, is the only
country in the world that has no such accommodations. Visitors must leave Vatican City and enter the
city of Rome, Italy for food, lodging, and other services. Visitors come to Vatican city to enjoy the
art, see the Pope's home and reflect.
  • Where was the only place in the world in which a rhinoceros was voted to a city council?
On October 4, 1959, the citizens of Sao Paulo, Brazil, by a vote of just over fifty thousand, chose a
female rhinoceros for the municipal council; she remains the only rhinoceros so honored. The people
of Sao Paulo were protesting corrupt government, food shortages, and skyrocketing prices for barest
necessities. The rhino was brought each day to the Municipal Building to attend meetings.

Burlesque

This movie stars Cher, Christina Aguilera, Kristen Bell and Cam Gigandet.

Plot:

Ali is a small-town girl with a big voice who escapes hardship and an uncertain future to follow her dreams to LA. After stumbling upon The Burlesque Lounge, a majestic but ailing theater that is home to an inspired musical revue, Ali lands a job as a cocktail waitress from Tess, the club's proprietor and headliner. Burlesque's outrageous costumes and bold choreography enrapture the young ingenue, who vows to perform there one day. Soon enough, Ali builds a friendship with a featured dancer, finds an enemy in a troubled, jealous performer, and garners the affection of Jack, a bartender and fellow musician. With the help of a sharp-witted stage manager and gender-bending host, Ali makes her way from the bar to the stage. Her spectacular voice restores The Burlesque Lounge to its former glory, though not before a charismatic entrepreneur arrives with an enticing proposal.

I can't wait to watch this! =))

Johnny Depp -- Vampire?

Johnny Depp will team up with director Tim Burton on Dark Shadows, a film adaptation of the 1960s vampire soap opera, which begins shooting this February.

Depp will play 175-year-old vampire Barnabas Collins. Here's what he's had to say about the character:

"Tim and I have tossed the idea for Dark Shadows over the years. It was a TV program in the States in the late 60s and early 70s that I remember watching as a kid. I was obsessed with this character, Barnabas Collins, who was a vampire. I came to find out many years later that when he was a kid, Tim ran home like I did to watch that Gothic soap opera. It was a very strange thing back then. We looked at ways to go, story-wise. We've started to come up with something interesting."

He has also previously teamed up with Burton in several movies such as:
  • Edward Scissorhands!
  • Ed Wood
  • Sleepy Hollow
  • Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
  • Corpse Bride
  • Sweeny Todd
  • Alice in Wonderland

Sin City >:)

Welcome to Fabulous Las Vagas, the"Entertainment Capital of the World"

Las Vegas is the most populous city in Nevada, the seat of Clark County, and an internationally renowned major resort city for gambling, shopping and fine dining.

Many of the largest hotel, casino and resort properties in the world are located on the Las Vegas Strip. Nineteen of the world's 25 largest hotels by room count are on the Strip, with a total of over 67,000 rooms.

If I was ever given a chance to go to Vegas, I would stay at the Bellagio :)

The Bellagio has nine separate villas in a quiet corner of the property. Each villa has a private terrace and pool, which is surrounded by topiary shrubs, chaise lounges and outdoor tables. Every villa has a private butler service and private limousine entrance.

Taylor Swift Auditorium

Taylor Swift’s old high school, where she went during her freshman and sophomore years before the release of her debut album in 2006.
The Sumner County School Board of Henderson High School in Hendersonville, Tennessee voted unanimously in favor of the name change. Swift donated $75,000 to the school in 2009 so they could update the sound and lighting systems in the auditorium.

Gnomeo and Juliet!

Cute right?
This picture is from Disney's upcoming Gnomeo & Juliet, which is a comedic re-telling of Shakespeare's romantic tragedy with garden gnomes, and featuring the voices of James McAvoy and Emily Blunt, with musical accompaniment from Sir Elton John. I can't wait to watch this! :)

Frozen Delights

Pinkberry is the best yogurt in town, unfortunately not in this one 'cause it's only available internationally. The weird thing about me is that I don't like the plain one but the Chocolate flavor with strawberries is heaven :">

Still creeping me out!

“Got a secret, can you keep it? Swear this one you’ll save. Better lock it, in your pocket, taking
one to the grave. If I show you, then I know you won’t tell what I said. ‘Cause
two can keep a secret, if one of them is dead…”

Hear that, originally by the Pierces. The lyrics are
wonderful when you read it. BUT to me, it sounds all creepy when played. I
don’t like the feeling it gives me when hearing it. It makes me think that
Allison, the person up there with one eye open, is going to haunt me. She’ll be
sending me unknown messages. She’ll be leaving me post-it notes in my locker.
And the freakiest part is that she might, one day, go to my room to raid my
closet and use her jungle red lipstick to write on my mirror that would warn me
to be careful and all that.

You might think I’m planting my hatred on Allison of Pretty
Little Liars for making me think she’s going to haunt me. I love the TV series so
much that I can’t bear to hate on one of the girls there there who actually made me like
the show. Though sometimes there’s this girl named Jenna who scares me a little
bit. Since she’s blind and I’m used to seeing her with sunglasses, I cannot
glance on her green eyes (there’s a flashback in one of the PLL episodes where
she wasn’t yet blind). It just makes me think, once again, that she’ll be
beside me once I rotate my head to my right or to my left. Weird, isn’t it?

But after all these thrills, Pretty Little Liars had me at
“sshh…” (of Aria in the theme song). You’re only going to get what I mean once
you see, even just an episode of Pretty Little Liars.

Velada :)

My tita got me a ticket to watch the Velada.
I was ecstatic to receive a pass to the hall because first, my mom will
be dancing. And second, I’m going to watch the show as if I was in New York,
watching Broadway. I really love seeing musical shows and to think that my mom’s
part of it, made me even more excited.

I was there, sitting with my dad and my two little sisters.
I actually loved my seat; everything in sight was close to being perfect. I’m
not so near the stage and not so far away from it too. The best part, though,
is that I was excused from our last subject! Just so you know, I didn’t plan it
to go this way. But to be honest, I’m happy to be seeing my mom perform and not
be in class for once.

I think I went a little too early inside St.Anne’s Hall.
Why? Because they went for the Filipino time! The Velada started at 3:30 in the
afternoon when it’s supposed to start at 3. Oh well, it was worth the wait
anyway.

The show, all in all, was amazing. I can see how hard they’ve
work for it. Besides my mom, I was really happy to see the old Alumnae (they
were probably the oldest who performed) smiling their faces off as they danced
to the music they’ve picked. I found it somewhat funny, too, but a little
scared for them. They forgot the steps but I saw how they’ve tried remembering
them. Wow, it’s the only thing I could say after the show. It was beautifully
enclosed with a song my classmate, Rose, sung.

The ending was really momentous. If you ask me to rate the
show from 1-10, I’m giving it an 11. Not because I think it was very, very
amusing. But because the sky’s the limit, and so was the fun the show has
Now I am proud to say that I belong to the Assumption

Woman

One of my fave quotes:

Whatever you give a woman, she’s going to multiply. If you give her sperm, she’ll give you a baby.

If you give her a house, she’ll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she’ll give you a meal.

If you give her a smile, she’ll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her.

So – if you give her any crap, you will receive a ton of shit.

Happy 100 years!

Here's the poem I made for the CAE assignment..

The Assumption Centennial Celebration,
What a wonderful collaboration
When old memories return,
The values and lessons learned

It's an exciting thing to be,
A part of this wondeful family
People are coming far and near,
To honor Saint Marie Eugenie this year

As the celebration draws near,
I wish Assumption another hundred years
The school which I consider my second home,
That we Assumptionistas call our own

Deepest Pool in the World

Nemo 33 is a recreational diving center in Brussels, Belgium that is home to
the world's deepest swimming pool. The pool itself consists of a submerged
structure with flat platforms at various depth levels. The pool has two large
flat-bottomed areas at depth levels of 5m (16 ft) and 10m (32 ft), and a large
circular pit descending to a depth of 33m (108 ft). It is filled with
2,500,000 litres of non-chlorinated, highly filtered spring water maintained
at 30°C (86°F) and contains several simulated underwater caves at the 10m depth level. There are numerous underwater windows that allow outside visitors to look into the pools at various depths. The complex was designed by Belgian diving expert John Beernaerts as a multi-purpose diving instruction, recreational, and film production facility, and opened in 2004.
